Job Opportunity – Planner II New Haven

The New Haven, Connecticut City Plan Department has an opening for a Planner II position!  This is a great opportunity to gain a wide variety of experiences and professional skills in a lively planning office with a team of forward-thinking collaborative colleagues. This specific assignment will include managing the NEPA process for CDBG funds, including completing Environmental Reviews and maintaining Environmental Review record. City Plan is the regulatory body for land use development in the city through the City Plan Commission, the Board of Zoning Appeals and the Historic District Commission. The City Plan Department facilitates the physical development of the City and encourages the development of sustainable land use, economic, and social policy. We are responsible for the Comprehensive Plan of Development, as well as other area-specific development plans and we work with city agencies, commissions, and boards to provide planning, zoning, and development information and advice, assisting residents, businesses, and developers in achieving the City’s development objectives. Hybrid remote work options may be available for some aspects of the work once work routines are established. Read more about what we do at City Plan: https://www.newhavenct.gov/government/departments-divisions/city-plan
