Louise Simmons

Louise Simmons Ph.D., is a Professor in the Community Organization sequence, former Director of the Urban Semester Program, and Chair of the Urban Issues in Social Work substantive area: focused area of study. Her research interests are in community organization, urban social movements, community-labor alliances, welfare policy and urban politics and problems. She is also involved with the University of Connecticut Urban Studies Program, and service learning activities.
